Problem and Objectives
For this client, we have already developed and launched a marketplace for selling clothing, literature, equipment and educational courses in the medical field. This platform allows medical organizations and professionals to purchase necessary items in one place, access information, share opinions, and exchange experiences. To enhance user convenience, a mobile application was required for the marketplace. The app would simplify registration, payment processing, notification of discounts and promotions, offering personalized recommendations, collecting customer data for service improvement, and more.
CS-Cart offers a standard mobile application for marketplaces. However, any modifications had to be applied to both the website and the app. For example, if a new recommendation block was added to the site, it also had to be incorporated into the app. Our task was to customize the standard CS-Cart application to match the marketplace’s appearance and numerous existing modifications.
What We Did
Complete Redesign of the App
The goal was to create an interface aligned with the website and the client’s branding, as the standard CS-Cart app design did not meet the business requirements. The solution focused on simplicity and minimalism for easy navigation, with white as the primary color symbolizing medicine, cleanliness, and sterility.
Customizable Mobile Menu
The mobile app menu was enhanced to match the functionality of the marketplace. It can be fully customized via the admin panel, allowing links to categories, pages, and external sites.
Dynamic Product Sorting
In the standard CS-Cart app, sorting options were not linked with those on the website. We modified the app so that the sorting options in both the website and the app are identical.
Functional Enhancements
Geolocation Integration: Enabled user location detection.
Notification System: Added notification capabilities for buyers, including PUSH notifications configurable through the admin panel.
OTP Authentication: Integrated OTP-based authentication.
Order Tracking: Added detailed order tracking in the app.
Additional Add-ons Installed
- Cart-Power add-ons: Size Charts, Power Reviews
- Third-party add-ons: Motivation Block, Product Labels.
- Standard CS-Cart add-on Gift Certificates, which was not initially available in the app.
Progect Results
The result is a user-friendly mobile application with the full functionality of a B2B and B2C marketplace, featuring over 10,000 products and more than 100 legally verified sellers.
It caters to both individual and business buyers, offering a clean, minimalist design for easy navigation.
