SEO Audit for Online Stores: Why Your Store Is Not Showing Up in Search
An e-commerce SEO audit: we find what keeps your store from climbing in Google, from indexing and duplicates to catalog structure, meta tags, trust signals and backlinks. We compare you with five competitors from your niche and hand over a work plan for the next 1–3 months.

When you need an SEO audit
Find the cause before you pay for SEO services, or the budget goes into pages the search engine cannot see.
Traffic is falling or flat
Rankings slip even though nothing changed on the site. Indexing is often to blame: pages drop out and duplicates eat up the crawl budget.
Pages are dropping out of the index
New products take weeks to appear in search, and the number of pages Google Search Console reports as not indexed keeps growing.
Competitors rank higher with the same range
They have more landing pages that match demand, richer product pages and stronger trust signals. The audit shows where the gap is.
Before starting SEO or changing agencies
The audit records the starting point and gives you a plan, so you know what you are paying for and what to check in the reports.
What the SEO audit covers
Eight areas. We cover the technical side at a basic level; the server and code are checked in the technical audit.
Indexing and duplicates
robots.txt, sitemap, canonical URLs, redirects, filter and pagination pages: what gets indexed and what wastes crawl budget.
Catalog structure and search demand
Whether your categories and filters match what shoppers search for, and where there is demand but no landing page.
Meta tags and category copy
A content audit: title, description and H1, both template-generated and hand-written, duplicates and empty fields, category and product page copy.
Trust signals
Prices and stock, shipping and payment, warranties, reviews, contacts and company details: search engines and shoppers use them to decide whether to trust a store.
Backlink profile
Who links to your store and with what anchor text, what to build on and what to clean up.
Five competitors from your niche
Structure, landing pages, content and commercial details of the stores ranking at the top for your keywords.
Structured data and product listings
Product, price and review markup and the Google Merchant Center feed: how your store looks in search results.
AI answers
Whether your store appears in answers from ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI assistants, and what your pages lack to get there.
Need technical and GDPR checks too?
The comprehensive audit covers all eight areas at once and costs less than ordering them separately.
What we find in stores
Three cases from our projects. Store names are withheld.
A sitemap frozen in 2025
An old sitemap.xml from March 2025 sat in the site root: 1,000 URLs, system pages included. It overrode the sitemap generated by the add-on, so search engines never received 5,420 products from it.
Search engines saw the store without styles
robots.txt blocked the theme's style and script folders, so crawlers rendered pages as bare text. On top of that, the markup of 225 products gave prices in a different currency from the storefront.
A migration with no redirects
The store was getting ready to move to a new platform, and not one of the 15,703 old URLs had a redirect: after launch, search engines would have lost everything the site had built up over the years. A match in the new catalog was found for a fifth of the old products.
We will show where your store loses search traffic
We will send a free one-page review: what is visible from the outside and needs attention first.
What you get
The documents make sense without us: the developer sees what to fix, the marketer sees what it will bring.
Prioritized report
Google Docs: findings in eight areas labeled “urgent”, “important” or “nice to have”, with screenshots and how to fix each one.
Competitor comparison
Excel: five stores from your niche compared on the key parameters, showing where you lag behind and by how much.
A 1–3 month plan
What to do first, what can wait and what to leave alone, with hours and the expected effect.
An hour-long call
We walk through the report with your team or your SEO contractor and answer questions.
How much an SEO audit costs
The price is fixed. If we implement the fixes within a month, the audit fee is credited toward them.

How the audit works
7 business days from access to the wrap-up call.
Half an hour about your store, target regions and goals. We need guest access to Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
The SEO analysis itself: we crawl the pages, export index and query data, check rankings and backlinks and pick five competitors.
We verify findings by hand, weed out the tools' false positives and set priorities.
We hand over the documents and spend an hour going through them with you or your contractor.
SEO audit FAQ
Answers to what clients ask before ordering.
$300 and 7 business days from the moment we receive access. For stores with more than 100,000 products, we agree on the timeline separately.
A free SEO audit tool gives you a list of technical warnings with no priorities, and half of them do not affect rankings. We verify findings by hand, look at demand, competitors and trust signals, and explain what each fix will bring.
Guest access to Google Search Console and Google Analytics. Admin panel access is needed if you want us to check meta tag templates and add-on settings. If needed, we sign an NDA.
Yes, and right after launch is actually a convenient time: structure and meta tag templates are cheaper to fix before the pages get indexed.
Yes. The report is written so that both a developer and a marketer can follow it: every finding comes with a fix and an estimate in hours.
The basic part is: indexing, duplicates, canonical URLs, redirects and the speed of key pages. The server, code and load are covered by the technical audit.
Yes, if we start implementing the fixes within a month of the report.
Yes, it is a separate item in the SEO audit: for which queries ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI assistants mention stores in your niche, and what your pages lack to make it into those answers.
