Our work process
1. CDEK integration improvement
The client was worried about the overhead and operating costs that had to be incurred to control the delivery of goods to the buyer. The process was like this:
This whole process required continuous supervision of sales managers. The client turned to us for a solution that would simplify their work.
When an order is created with CDEK delivery, an invoice is automatically created.
When an order is sent, a shipment is created in it, which is linked to the invoice using the CDEK API.
According to the script’s frequency settings (for example, every half an hour), the system checks for shipments in the “created” status. Unlike the default integration functionality, the check is performed not only by the order and shipment numbers, but additionally by the number of the invoice itself. This is necessary in order to be able to easily delete a shipment created with errors, generate a new one and control its delivery.
If the shipment’s status has changed to “shipped” or “delivered”, the statuses of the order change accordingly
We have integrated a comprehensive solution for displaying CDEK pick-up points on Yandex.Map. The buyer can use the map to choose the nearest CDEK office and not overpay for delivery.
We have also added a convenient option for the administrator: he can copy the track number or go to the website of the transport company without going into the order, where the track number will be already filled in. You can track the location of the order in one click.
THE SCHEME OF WORK IS NOW AS FOLLOWS:
The website checks ALL orders on the website of the logistics company according to the schedule.
If the delivery status of an order has changed, the website changes the order status for the customer automatically.
The buyer is notified automatically.
As a result, our client saves a significant amount of his employees time on processing the orders delivery from the online store, freeing up and redirecting the resources of sales managers to other tasks.
2. Usability for mobile devices
Most of the products in the online store are spray paints of different shades. See how many shades there are for only one type of paint.
Usually graffiti artists order several different shades in one order. It is not a problem to click with the mouse and select what you need from the desktop. But moving between so many shades was inconvenient through the narrow screen of a smartphone.
We have provided the adaptive layout for such instances. If the user enters the online store from a mobile phone, the shades of colors line up in columns, between which you can navigate with swipes. The desired color is selected with one click and it is already added to the order which is visible at the top of the screen. Buyer can remove an unwanted color just by using a swipe in any direction.
