Performance work is the least visible and most measurable thing we do. Nothing on the page changes; the numbers do.
Gowholesale is the extreme case: catalog search across 300,000 products brought down to about one second, with mobile app traffic tripling afterwards. Santechlux needed search results to appear instantly, because a wholesale buyer comparing sanitary ware will not wait. Klumba combined speed work with SEO, which is usually the right order. Loopazon needed the platform to stay fast through a full redesign.
Optimization projects start with measurement, not guesswork: where the time actually goes, how much is server, how much is database and how much is the front-end. Fixing the wrong layer is the most common way to spend a budget and gain nothing.
